Service Description

Applied Pistol is a hybrid class of performance pistol with defensive concepts through the lens of efficiency. Working from the ground up in a literal sense to take the "work" out of your shooting so the brain can focus on what matters. This class is designed for the intermediate to advanced level of shooting. Because of the content and context of the class it is required that students have achieved some sort of entry level pistol class or receive evaluation by GFL staff. Students can expect a comfortable outdoor environment where questions are encouraged and where safety is paramount above everything else. We will be outdoors so make sure hydration is added to your gear list. TOPICS COVERED: -Safety expectations and briefing -Equipment evaluation -Gun and ammunition management -Building a shooting platform -Recoil management and sight tracking -Balance of Speed and Precision -Refining the draw process -Proxemics of the draw -Vision based targeting -Shooting to standards (prizes for top shot) (stickers / merch) REQUIRED GEAR: -Reliable modern handgun with holster; Appendix, IWB, OWB, DUTY / ALS is fine. (NO BLACKHAWK SERPA, FABRIC, OR LEATHER HOLSTERS) -Red dot or iron sights that are zeroed (we will confirm / adjust zero as we begin) -A strong belt to carry holster and other equipment (gun belt recommended) - 3 magazines (5 recommended) - Eye and ear protection - Sunscreen (if needed) -HYDRATION + LUNCH (you may be judged on your snack game) - 400+ rounds of ammunition (more is recommended) - A Sharpie and something to take notes (phone notes are fine) -DIRECTION INFO- This class will be taught on the Indoor Range at GA FIRING LINE 2727 Canton Rd suite 410 Marietta, GA 30066
